Research

My research lies at the intersection of String Theory, Conformal Field Theory, and Quantum Gravity. I am particularly interested in exact worldsheet descriptions of string theory in curved spacetimes, and the mathematical structures underlying these theories.

Current Research

My current work focuses on the exact worldsheet description of string propagation on the AdS₃ manifold using the SL(2,ℝ) Wess–Zumino–Witten (WZW) model.

The primary topics I am currently studying include

  • Classical Trajectories
  • Affine Kac–Moody algebras and Sugawara construction
  • Virasoro constraints
  • Spectral flow symmetry
  • Representation theory of strings in AdS₃
  • Physical Spectrum of strings in AdS₃
  • Bosonization and Scattering amplitudes of strings in AdS₃

These studies aim to provide a deeper understanding of string dynamics in curved spacetimes and their connection to holography through the AdS/CFT correspondence.

Previous Research

During my Master’s research, I worked on problems in black hole physics and gravitational perturbation theory.

The primary topics included

  • Black hole surrounded by an anisotropic matter field
  • Quasinormal Modes through Scalar, EM and Gravitational Perturbations
  • Black shadow radius and Lyapunov exponent
  • Greybody Factors
  • Eikonal Approximation

This work resulted in a publication in Physical Review D, which can be found here.

Future Directions

Some of the problems that particularly interest me include

  • Strings in higher dimensional coset manifolds
  • Superstring theory using coset WZW models
  • Exact worldsheet conformal field theories
  • Holography
  • Quantum aspects of black holes

As my doctoral research progresses, this page will continue to evolve with new projects and collaborations.
